A Day At The Races

Every year Australia develops its national obsession with horse racing for a week. This of course culminates in the Melbourne Cup. But all over the country there are other race meets where everybody gets suitably frocked up and enjoys the festivities.

I was fortunate enough to photograph Ladies day at the Hawkesbury Racecourse last Thursday. I was there courtesy of my client Lander Toyota who were principal sponsors of the event.

Hot and windy conditions presenting a few challenges for organisers and photographers alike but overall it was a great day. With a great atmosphere out on the track and up in the (much cooler!) sponsors lounge.
