Virtual Professional Headshots
Now you can have a professional looking headshot without leaving HOME
The past year has thrown up a number of obstacles for people wanting good quality professional looking headshots for their business and personal use. This applies equally to individuals wanting to update their LinkedIn profile to organisations wanted to update their entire staff photographs. We know you still want to make fantastic first impressions but may not have the time, money or ability to get a photographer to take professional headshots for you and your team. Now with Corporate Imagery’s unique Virtual Headshot service you can get professional looking headshots without even having to visit a professional, all you need is a smartphone.
With our world class processes and team of professional photographers, editors and re-touchers we are able to turn your photos into quality professional headshots with consistent look and feel for your whole team.
If you would rather check suitability of your images up front then send them by email to corporateimagery@tonynewby.com.au. We will then contact you to confirm that the image is suitable for processing and give you the payment details.
It’s that easy. Your images will then be suitable for LINKEDIN, Resumes, social media profile pictures and most online uses.
How It WORKS?
All you need to do is to send us in an image of yourself that you like. This can be an existing image that is well lit and of good quality or you can take one specifically for this purpose. We will supply you with a full guide of how to get the very best image including the necessary equipment and lighting tips and so much more. An iPhone or other smartphone can produce perfectly good results for this purpose
We will then do our magic to this image - we’ll fix the colours, adjust the exposure, remove all distractions and blemishes, add a few touch-up elements to make you look awesome, cut you out of the background, and then drop you into a new background (or two).
for companies and organisations
Virtual headshots are perfect for companies and organisations looking to create a consistent look across their staff photos. This cannot replace a photographer directly but we believe it’s the next best thing. This service can greatly benefit organisations with any of these issues;
Team members working remotely and not in the office at the same time
Employees out of office on the day of the official photo shoot
Staff working in multiple offices across the country
Your organisation has offices across multiple locations nationally, internationally and globally where you want a consistent look and feel for all your images.
Budget reductions limiting your ability to bring in professional photographers
You need a COVID safe solution with absolutely zero physical contact
We have the capability to process hundreds of images a day to deliver your staff photos and headshots in an efficient and timely manner. This is also a very cost effective solution with generous bulk discounts available.
Please take the time to read this case study from a large real estate business in the USA that we are working with and have delivered over 1,000 virtual headshots to date. It’s a fantastic partnership and showcases the processes involved in delivering bulk headshots in a seamless and efficient manner. By using an online platform (Airtable) we were able to automatically facilitate the whole process from initial emails to final image delivery substantially reducing workloads on the company representatives.
combining virtual and physical headshots
And we can even utilise the virtual headshot as an add-on to our existing professional headshot offering. We recently did a job for a major Australian bank where not all of the team members were able to be present for our day of shooting in their office. We sent the missing people the full instructions on how to create their own image and we were able to apply the same look and feel to best match the rest of the team. Can you spot which one of the following was not shot using our portable studio set-up in their offices?
This means that there are now 3 ways to get headshots for your whole team; on location at your offices, at our studio in Ryde or using our virtual headshot service. We can even do a combination of all 3!
This service is available worldwide - read this case study of a virtual headshot that we did for a client in the U.S.

Tips on Taking Photos to use for virtual headshots
If you are taking photos specifically to use for a virtual headshot then here are a few things to bear in mind
1. DO take a photo with as high a quality camera as you can. This can be a smart phone but we need the highest resolution possible (at least 1000 pixels wide, preferably more) so do not zoom with a smartphone camera… just stand closer.
2. DO shoot against a plain background, white walls tend to work best or at least something that contrasts with your hair and clothes. This makes it much easier to change backgrounds later.
3. DO shoot fairly wide, we’ll take care of the cropping at our end later, better to have a little bit too much in the frame than to have too little. Bear in mind that final images will normally be square cropped with head, shoulders and chest. Please ensure that you don’t crop off any parts of your head or shoulders.
4. DO NOT worry about applying filters to your images, we’ll take care of all of that but ideally we need a clean image to start with. So avoid instagram filters and portrait mode on your phone. We will remove temporary blemishes as part of the editing process.
5. DO take your photo in good natural light and/or a well lit room. Avoid direct sunlight on your face. Good natural window light without direct sunlight is optimal.
6. DO ask someone to take the photo of you rather than take a selfie, shoot at eye level or slightly higher.
7. By all means use an existing photo of yourself but please send this through in high resolution. At least 1000 pixels across preferably more. Bear in mind the points above when selecting your photo however.
