Our Virtual Headshot business was set up in 2020 primarily as a way for individuals and organisations to gain access to professional looking corporate headshots without the necessity to leave their homes or even visit a photographer. During the ongoing pandemic with so many people working remotely this proved to be tremendously popular
Since then we have seen this business evolve in new and exciting ways. We are now getting international and multi-national companies come to us to offer a consistent look and feel for the company headshots across departments, offices, states and and even countries. To do this kind of project with physical photography would take many months and cost potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars. With us it is an efficient and cost effective process that gets results swiftly and without hassle.
Lennar came to us at the back end of last year. They are one of the U.S.A’s leading home builders and a Fortune 500 company with thousands of team members across America. They were looking for a consistent look for the headshots of their sales staff across the States for use on their website and in their communications
We spent some time working with the client on developing best processes as well as a look and feel that they wanted for their final images.
We used Airtable as a hub for the virtual headshots. This allowed individuals to upload their images, approval to be given to their suitability , images to be downloaded by us, final edited images to be uploaded and for the data to be sorted saved and stored in a variety of formats to suit each user.

We supplied Lennar with a detailed guide on the type of images that needed to be submitted. This included sections on what to wear , the best lighting, backgrounds, how to pose, best camera settings and information on final image crop ratios and specifications. The majority of images that came back to us had followed these guidelines and we were able to deliver consistent results across them all.
The process at our end was to take the original image, remove the background, enhance the image by correcting colours and exposure differences, make some minor tweaks where necessary and then apply to the new consistent background. Our team are very efficient at delivering this process - there will still be differences in final image quality dependant on the quality of the original image but the overall end result was excellent.
So in the past couple of months we have delivered over 1,000 virtual headshots for Lennar across 30 offices all over the country, and there’s more to come.
